1929 Brunner-Winkle Bird
NC46K
October 14 of 2006 we purchased a Bird BK project. NC46K was purchased in Georgia and trucked to it's new home in Ohio.
NC46K sporting it's original NC number of NC6K and an OX-5 engine.

Although not our plane, above is a Bird C. Very similar in appearance, the BK sports a 100 h.p. Kinner engine and can seat three - one in the rear cockpit and two in the front cockpit. The above C has a Wright J6-5 engine.

Alan (L) and Jim (R). Alan is a Bird owner/restore and was a great help in loading our project. We bought the project from Jim. You can see Jim's beautiful Waco RNF in the background.

Viewable here are engine parts, a newly built gas tank, front seat and the rear portion of the turtle deck
